Children rewarded
A smart of its corporate social responsibility, Pizza Corner opened term deposits of Rs 1 lakh each for six underprivileged children of Bosco Yuva Kendra.
This money will go towards their higher education.
The money will be handed over to the children after they turn 18 years. Appu M, Suresh C, Keshava S M, Laxman D, Sthosh Kumar S, Manjunatha A, the six lucky kids wished to use the money to pursue their higher studies in medicine, engineering and science. ‘We launched this endeavour in 1998 and with Bosco have identified deserving children every year.
The term deposits help fund their higher education after they have successfully passed their tenth standard examinations, ‘said Joseph Cherian, managing director Global Franchise Architects.
The children were treated to a pizza each after the awards were given away.
